Candace L. Gillespie

I am the Counselor at Broad Street High School.  It is my pleasure to serve the students of the North Bolivar Consolidated School District. I am a 1992 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. I attended Rust College two years and then transferred to the awesome Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Special Education and a Master of Education Degree in School Counseling (with hours in Community Counseling as well) from Delta State University. I received an Educational Specialist Degree from Nova Southeastern University. I also have Doctoral hours in the disciplines of  Counselor Education and Educational Leadership from Delta State University. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a National Certified School Counselor (NCSC), and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, State of Mississippi).  I am also a self-published author and a poet. I am married to Leonard O. Gillespie, Sr., and we have one son,
